Furniture Sale is a Huge Success!

Updated: Mar 01, 2006, 3:54 PM EST

We raised over $30,000 from the furniture sale in January and February. The furniture was donated to us by the French Lick Springs Resort during their renovation project for the new Casino. Because of the Resort's generosity we were able to meet some of our growth goals for the year.

CPR3 president, Jeff Johnson, says "We were able to buy large trucks. We are converting a 26 foot box truck into a Mobile Kitchen, and developing an easy-setup tent for large groups. One of the biggest problems we had in the Gulf during disaster relief for Hurricane Katrina was spending a few hours with a crew of people putting up tent shelters. It should only take two to three people and about 15 minutes to put up this new tent. There are a few details to work out, but we will get it."

We are in the process of developing a CPR3 network of volunteers. If you are interested in becoming a CPR3 volunteer send us your information by contacting us here.

Inspired By An Experience

The organization, CPR3, begins with a group of volunteers and donors from Southern Indiana who pulled together to help the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

We, professionals, developers, and volunteers involved with CPR3, were so inspired by the local disaster relief experience that we have decided to make it a part of our daily lives. We are rallying support to start an official disaster relief organization in Southern Indiana. This site is currently under development and more information will be made available shortly. In the mean time read the story that inspired us to start Crisis Point Response, Relief, Recovery.
